Motolite RES-Q App - Terms and Conditions

 

By downloading or using the app, you understand and agree to the terms and conditions stated herein.

 

You should, therefore, make sure that you read them carefully before using the Motolite RES-Q App (app). We offer this app for your personal use free of charge. You are not allowed to copy, modify, or distribute the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are also not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, translate it into other languages, or create derivative versions.

 

The app, including all trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, belongs to Motolite RES-Q and Oriental & Motolite Marketing Corporation (OMMC).

 

At the bottom of these Terms and Conditions, you will find links to our website containing our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and General Customer Terms and Conditions, which shall apply when you purchase batteries or avail of services through the Motolite RES-Q app.

 

Service Availability, Free Services, and Charges

 

We are committed to ensuring that the app is useful and efficient. For this reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app, its features, or its services at any time, including introducing charging for services, without prior notice.

 

The app may offer complimentary or promotional services to users of the Motolite RES-Q app when services are booked through the RES-Q app, subject to the terms and conditions stated below:

• Each vehicle may avail up to three (3) free service requests (jumpstart, tire assistance, emergency fuel, and overheat) per calendar year, provided that the service is booked via the app.
• Beginning on the fourth (4th) service within the same calendar year, standard service fees – which are determined at our sole and exclusive discretion, shall apply.
• Applicable service fees will be clearly disclosed prior to booking confirmation.
• We may provide certain services free of charge as a benefit or privilege. These free services are offered at our sole discretion and may be modified or withdrawn at any time without notice.
• We reserve the right to validate service history per vehicle, and to limit, suspend, or deny free services in cases of abuse, misuse, or excessive service requests.

 

User Responsibilities and Limitations

 

The Motolite RES-Q app stores and processes personal data you have provided to enable battery purchases and service requests. It is your responsibility to keep your device and access to the app secure. We strongly advise against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may compromise security and cause the app to malfunction or become unusable.

 

Certain features of the app—such as rider tracking, booking services, and notifications—require an active internet connection and access to the location services of your device. We shall not be held responsible if the app does not function due to poor or unavailable internet connectivity.

 

If you are using the app outside of a Wi-Fi connection, your mobile network provider’s terms will apply, and you may incur data charges. You are solely responsible for any such charges.

 

For the avoidance of doubt, the app does not grant or confer any rights or entitlements to you as a user.

 

Limitation of Liability

 

The app is not intended to replace or substitute proper vehicle maintenance. We shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from reliance on the app, instead of ensuring proper vehicle care and maintenance.

 

Motolite shall also not be held responsible for the manner in which users choose to use the app or its services.

 

App Updates and Termination

 

We reserve the right to update the app as necessary.

 

The app is currently available on Android, EMUI and iOS, and system requirements may change. You are responsible for installing updates to continue using the app.

 

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend the operation of the app at any time without prior notice.
